das flashexperiment flame von antti kupila visualisiert auf eindrucksvolle weise daten, die es von last.fm bezieht. dabei nutzt die applikation papervision3d zur darstellung. gesteuert wird das ganze mit den pfeiltasten.

eine sehr interessante rechnung präsentierte mir heute ein kollege als reaktion auf die ablehnung von yahoo, sich für 45 milliarden dollar von microsoft kaufen zu lassen:
45 milliarden dollar, dafür müsste ich 1.250.000 Jahre arbeiten.

verteilt auf die weltweit 78.565 microsoft mitarbeiter wären’s dann aber auch nur noch knapp 16 jahre für jeden.
